Thomas Bridgman

Thomas F. Bridgman, age 85, passed away on August 24, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 20, 1937, to the late Merle and Pearl Bridgman.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara of 57 years; father to Katherine (Don) Reed, Thomas (Maureen) Bridgman Jr., Alison Bridgman, and Christopher Bridgman; grandfather to Julia, Madison and Jesse Reed, Thomas, Kathleen and Colleen Bridgman, Juliet, Brian and Luke Bridgman; brother to Joan (Tom) Keilman, Terry (Patsi) Bridgman and James (late Jane) Bridgman; along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom will also be missed by Barbara's siblings, William Bode, Betty Farquhar, and Bonnie Guiney.

Tom was raised in Northwest, Indiana and graduated from Bishop Noll High School. He attended the University of Detroit and went on to earn an MBA from Harvard University. Tom was a sales executive for over 40 years. He was a 6-year veteran of the Indiana National Guard and US Army Reserve.

Tom was active in the community, served as a Eucharistic minister and usher at Guardian Angels Church and volunteered his time helping others. He was also an avid Chicago White Sox fan. Everyone who knew Tom knew him to be a kind, funny, smart and quietly humble person, known for his love of God. He had a gift of connecting with those he met, he loved talking to people and made everyone in his presence feel important.

Tom's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Akron General Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Hospice for their excellent care.

The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S Cleveland Massillon Rd, Copley. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Guardian Angels Catholic Church would be appreciated.
