Norma Gregory

October 9, 1960 — December 12, 2021

Norma Mae Gregory entered this world on October 9th, 1960 and brought joy to the lives of many before being called home on December 12th, 2021. Known as Norma to most, those near to her called her "Normi". During her time on Earth, Norma touched the lives of many with her kind words, selfless actions, a take-charge attitude, and an abundance of smiles. Those fortunate to have known Norma are painfully aware that we have lost a beautiful soul who cared more for others than she ever cared for herself.

At a young age, Norma was preceded in death by her father, Olen Gregory. Many years later, she was preceded in death by the man who treated her like a daughter, Kenneth Bell.

Norma's memory is survived and cherished by many. Her mother, Betty, bears the unjust pain of losing an adult child.

Norma's brothers and sisters are devastated by the loss of their dear sister. Siblings Doris (Leonard "Forrest"), Hilda (Tim), Lloyd (Stacy), and Joe (Debbie) have said farewell to a friend as well as a sibling.

Norma's nieces and nephews are heartbroken by the loss of a supportive and wonderful confidant who seemed as much a second mom as she was a kind and loving aunt. Len (Jen), Carrie (Randy), Justin (Kayla), Jessica (Scott), and Amanda (Josh) will forever miss the plentiful hugs that were so often received from their beloved Aunt Normi.

Great-nephews and great-nieces have lost their fun-loving and always smiling great-aunt. Matthew, Michael, Kaiden, Adley, Maggie, and Holden all knew the love that their Great-Aunt Normi held for them in her heart.

Family pets have lost scratches and cuddles from the woman who was quick to sneak them treats and toys with every visit.

Norma was a kind and gentle soul who always placed the needs of others much higher than her own. Norma was the cheerleader of our family as she expressed such genuine pleasure and support while her family grew and time marched on. Norma was a central figure to this family and was present for every life event of the family she held so dear. Sad times would often be countered by Normi's visit or phone call. Illness, injury, or surgery would earn a visit from her concerned and smiling face. Joyous occasions would find Normi celebrating in the happiness of those that she loved. There are so many pictures and memories of Norma smiling and enjoying her family at gatherings, milestones, holidays, and family vacations. Norma was truly a good person and the void left in our hearts by her rapid and unexpected passing is unfathomable.

Aside from a broken hearted family, Norma leaves behind many dear friends and colleagues. Norma built numerous relationships with coworkers and customers during her lifelong career of customer service and considered many of these people to be her friends. Much like Norma shared stories about her family with her coworkers, she would also share stories about the lives of her coworkers with her family.

Norma had a lifelong love for horses and would often be found volunteering at the local stable. As a volunteer, she had the opportunity to be around other riders and to spend time with the horses that gave her so much joy. When unable to ride, she was happy to mentor young riders who shared the same fascination for these beautiful creatures.

As per Norma's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral to mark her passing. In place of such a solemn and sad event, the family will host a celebration of Norma's life at a later date. When the time is right, Norma's ashes will be spread to the green grass, during a gentle breeze as her family gathers to celebrate her love and her memory
