Mary Steiner

Mary Ann (Amer) Steiner was laid to rest with our Heavenly Father Oct. 25, 2021. Mary was a lifelong resident of Akron, having attended St. Sebastian Elementary and St. Vincent-St. Mary High School (Class of 1981). After a long illness she is finally at eternal peace with the Lord.

She will be forever remembered for her infectious laugh, which expressed her love of life's simplest moments. Mary was deeply devoted to her friends, whom she considered family. She loved to go camping with her closest "circle of friends". She was an avid John Denver fan, enjoyed painting, and was a professional photographer.

She has been preceded in death by her grandparents Louis and Jean (Van Gilder) Amer, parents Richard and Dolores (Bouschere) Amer, and brother James Amer. She has left behind her family Garry, Catrina, Rochelle, and Chase. Her aunts Janet Amer and Maggie Bouschere, her sister and niece Rita and Xoe Amer, and brother Paul Amer.

Mary's family and friends would like to thank the staff of Hickory Ridge Nursing Center who cared for her over the last 5 years.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Avenue, Akron, Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 6, 11:00am.
