Obituary

Marilyn (Lynn) Louise Lewis - 91, died peacefully May 8, 2021 after 6 years of alzheimers. Lynn was raised in, and around, Wellington Ohio. She was the 5th daughter of James and Buelah Richey. She went to school for Art at Kent State and continued as an artist her entire life.

Lynn met Bob Lewis at a dance in Cleveland Ohio then flew to Germany to marry him. They spent the first year of their marriage living in Frankfurt, then came home to raise 4 children. Family, holidays, and community events were important to her. She loved hosting parties, cooking, knitting, reading, and playing piano.

Lynn was an artist that showed her work at art shows and galleries. She painted landscapes, still lifes, and florals in her studio, plein air, and took classes when and where ever she could. She taught drawing, painting, stained glass, mosaic, and dancing at her home at different times in her life. Many people and family benefited from her love of art and willingness to teach it.

Lynn was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob Lewis, sisters, and many beloved pets. She is survived by 4 children, Wendy Lewis (Walt Grandal), Dianne Shaffer, Jack Lewis (Barbi Kealy), and Leslie Lewis. She had 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Greenview Assisted Living for their care and support over the last 6 years. A celebration of life and remembrance will be held at a private residence Saturday May 22 from noon till 6pm. Contact Wendy for more information. Lynn will then be interred at Greensburg Cemetery next to her husband.
