James Snodgrass

James Oliver Snodgrass, age 84, passed away on January 16, 2022. He was born in Varney, WV to Verlon and Octavia Snodgrass.

James was preceded in death by his wife Mary Glenita Snodgrass; parents Verlon and Octavia Snodgrass; siblings Vera Matthews of Greensboro NC; Donald Eugene Snodgrass of Jacksboro TN; Bruce Snodgrass of Varney WV; Bernie Snodgrass of Blackberry City, WV; Leckie Snodgrass of Tampa Fl; and Duran Snodgrass of Varney WV.

James is survived by his children Donald (Stephenie) Snodgrass of Wellington OH, Pam (Bubba) Grubbs of Dayton OH, Janet (Ron) Lynn of Dayton OH, and Kenny Snodgrass; Siblings Reverend Bill Snodgrass of Varney WV, and Francis Truman of Jacksonville, FL; Stepdaughters Deborah (Aristotle) Zournas of Orville OH and Donna (Don) George of Akron, OH; Step-grandchildren Thomas Zournas, Ashley George, Andrew George, and Aaron George

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. James loved playing his guitar and singing bluegrass and southern gospel with his siblings. He was a fan of horse racing, devoted to his beloved state of West Virginia and always enjoyed a hot cup of coffee.

James' wish was to be cremated and a private burial will be held by the family.
