Allison Bentley

Allison Rose Bentley, 47, the sweetest lady on Earth, passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2021. She was born February 17, 1974 in Akron, Ohio; she graduated from Akron East High School in 1992. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Akron.

Allison, a teacher at Ellet High School, was truly beloved by all of her students and fellow staff members. She was always smiling and brightened the life of everyone she met. She loved to travel, cook, read and most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons Drew and Bryce Glidden, mother Nori Bentley, father and step-mother Dale and Danette Bentley, brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Heather Bentley, sister Ashley Bentley, former husband Craig Glidden, nephews Adam and Justin Bentley, and her niece who she loved more than a bushel and a peck, Lauren Bentley.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 3-7 pm at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY, 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, OH 44321. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 am at St. Hilary Parish, 2750 West Market St. Fairlawn, OH 44333. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Allison's honor to Ellet Endowment Scholarship Fund, 309 Woolf Ave., Akron, Ohio 44312.
