VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE William W. Bender 82 of Akron died April 28 2006 at Hospice Care Center. William was born on February 2 1924 in Dennison OH. William was preceded in death by his parents Edith Lougee (nee Shambra) and Lloyd Bender. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Angelene G. Bender sons William M. Bender of Cuyahoga Falls and Richard J. (Cindy) Bender of Phoenix AZ; many nieces and nephews. William served his country in WWII in the Army Air Force stationed in Italy. He worked for many years as a Sales Representative with Seagram Distillers and Midwest Wine and Spirits. William loved high school and college sports. He enjoyed classic cars and vintage aircraft. His clever wit and humor will be missed by all. The family would like to thank special niece Lynn Fallon of Merimack NH and the caregivers at Hospice Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 4 2006 10:00 AM at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull Ave. Interment in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
