Virginia "Ginny" R. Morgan, 87, of Poland, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, after a brief illness.

Ginny was born Nov. 12, 1937, in Andover, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ida (Waris) Richardson and Theodore Richardson. She was a homemaker who found joy in the simple pleasures of life including birdwatching, nature, bicycle rides and daily walks.

She was a Life Member of the Out-Spokin' Wheelmen Cycling Club of Youngstown. Throughout her life, Ginny volunteered with WFMJ's Call for Action, League of Women's Voters of Greater Youngstown, Alzheimer's Association, and the Poland Library. She lived in Eustis, Fla. during the winter for several years and volunteered for hospice services there as well as the Trout Lake Nature Center.

Ginny is survived by her sons, Dean Morgan, of Poland, and Gary (Maureen McGavin) Morgan, of Atlanta; brother-in-law Theodore Fessler of Mount Dora, Fla., and beloved nieces and nephews. She spent her later years with her partner, Franklin Bishop, who now lives in Syracuse, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband David J. Morgan, whom she married Oct. 1, 1960; and siblings Eleanor (Ted) Fessler and Norman (Elizabeth) Richardson.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Ginny's memory to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
