Thomas "Tom" Scovell, 70, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born on April 20, 1956.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jean Scovell. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and their beloved dog, Lucy. He also leaves behind his daughters, Sarah Scovell (Bobby) and Emily Kaiser (Andy), as well as his grandsons, Julian and Jameson, who brought him so much joy. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Scovell and his sister, Cyndy Myer (Tim), and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom had a deep love for football, spent countless happy hours in his garden, and cherished time spent with his family and friends above all else. He fought his illness with strength and grace, and his warmth and love for those around him will be remembered by everyone who knew him.

The family will receive family and friends at the Hummel Funeral Homes (Copley) located at 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, OH 44321 Wednesday, October 14, 2026 from 4-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to One of a Kind Pets or The American Cancer Society in Tom's memory.
