Sonia Morrison

Sonia left this world on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at the age of 93 years old. Sonia was raised in Barberton and graduated from Barberton High School. She will be remembered in the hearts of her husband Wilbur Dean Morrison for 71 years and her five children David (Carolyn), Maryann Titus (Dick), Donna Dobbins (Steve), Martha Dobbins and Joan Carver (Chris). She also touched the lives of her grandchildren Jeanette, Tiffany, Natalie, Jeffrey, Steven, Jennifer, Annmarie, Angie, Melissa, Sam, Joe, Katie, Will, Annagrace, 15 great grandchildren and many other friends, church members and family. Sonia was the first and only secretary of Guardian Angels Catholic Church where she was the coordinator of the PSR classes, First Communion and Confirmation classes and a member of the Altar Society for over 60 years. She was involved with the Barberton Head Start program and the Community Pregnancy Center of Barberton. Sonia had the gift of blessing others with her warm smile and giving attitude. She will be missed by many. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-6 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley. where the Rosary will be recited at 5:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 10:00 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Copley. Interment Copley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Pregnancy Center, 1058 Wooster Rd. W, Barberton, Ohio 44203.
