Sandra Faye Meech

Sandra Faye Meech (Welsh), of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, surrounded by her family and abundant love. She was born on July 7th, 1950 in Akron, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Evelyn (Morrison) Welsh. She was a proud graduate of Copley High School and Gerber's Beauty School. Sandy retired from being a hair stylist of 49 years, during which she proudly owned her own salon, The Ritz. She loved hosting events in her home for holidays, birthdays, and family celebrations, where everyone was always welcomed with love, especially her traditional Easter Egg hunt for the kids. She loved creating memories and traditions that her family will carry with them always. Her real passion was her children and grandchildren, and she cherished every moment that she got to spend with them. Life must be measured by the people she loved, the friendships she built, the laughter she shared, the kindness she gave, and the countless lives that were brighter because she was a part of them.

She leaves behind many that loved her dearly, including her husband John Meech, daughter Kristi Wiant (Mike), son Troy Meech (Tracy), grandchildren Carson, Ellie, Ava, Dylan, Landon, and TJ and numerous nieces and nephews that she adored.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, July 16th from 11:00-1:00 with funeral services immediately following at Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Road, Copley. Burial will follow at 2:00 at Rose Hill Cemetery 3653 W. Market Street, Akron.
