Rosemary Shaul

Rosemary Shaul 88 of Akron OH died August 16 2004 at at The Ledges of Rockynol. As a young girl Rosemary studied painting under the well-known Sr. Matilda of Our Lady of the Elms. She was a member of the Cuyahoga Valley Art League and was recognized with awards in juried art shows. Rosemary was a graduate of St. Vincent High School and a lifetime member of St. Vincent Parish. She was also a member of the St. Thomas Hospital Women's Board and the Women's City Club.Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years John Q. Shaul; her parents Earl and Mary Cunin; siblings Anne Cunin Dages and John R. Cunin. She is survived by her children: Dennis Shaul and Ann (Van) Garber of Akron OH and Mary Susan (Thomas) McDonald of Columbus OH; brother-in-law Robert Dages and sister-in-law Marilyn Cunin. She is also survived by grandchildren Kristin (James) Thomas Carolyn McDonald Elizabeth (Joseph) Slanina Patrick and Ann McDonald; J. Quinn (Kristi) Garber and Meghan (Jacob) Sheffer; Maxwell and Meredith Shaul seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of the Rockynol staff for providing loving care to Rosemary during the last few years of her life. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 at St. Vincent Church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Church and Rockynol Retirement Community.
