Rita Obermiller

Rita E. Obermiller 89 of Akron Ohio went home to be with the Lord on August 26 2008. She was born on February 14 1919 in Dover OH. She worked as an Accountant at Sorkin Thayer and Company for many years. Rita was a long time member of St. Bernards Catholic Church in Akron OH. She was also an avid supporter of the ASPCA as well as many other organizations that helped animals. Rita was preceded in death by her parents Victor Obermiller and Anna Abel and many of her beloved kitty's who were like her children. She is survived by close family friend of over 50 years Charles 'Chick' Wolfe of Green who was like a brother to her and Bill Karla Jeremy and Amber Hazel who she thought of as her Grandchildren. As well as her precious kitty Sweetie Pie. Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 28 2008 at 12:00 PM at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron 4904 Quick Rd. Peninsula OH 44264.
