Paul Salem

Paul Salem, 89, of Akron, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025. Born June 27, 1936, to Massoud and Alice Salem, Paul Salem was a lifelong resident of Akron, graduate of St. Vincent High School and member of Saint Joseph Melkite Catholic Church. He was the proprietor of Salem's and Tall Paul's Restaurant and Lounge and was well known for his work in other fine dining establishments throughout Akron.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Gerrie Niam and Emaline Bolden. He is survived by his nephews, Len Bolden, Bruce (Desiree) Bolden, close friends, Charles (Mazzizie) Bedran and Chaker Fadel; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025, at St. Joseph's Melkite Catholic Church, 927 N. Portage Path, Akron, Reverend Eugene Mitchell officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery will follow. Memorials may be made to Saint Joseph Melkite Church, 927 N Portage Path, Akron, OH, 44303
