Patricia Connor

Patricia Ann Connor (née Denholm) 93, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael James Connor, parents Harry Andrew Denholm and Marie Massey Denholm, sister Adelaide McGurr, and brothers Harry Denholm Jr, and James Denholm. She is survived by her children Christopher Michael Connor (Sara), Tricia Connor Selio Arnold (Tom) and Colleen Connor Coyne (Kevin) as well as 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Patti was born in Akron, attended St. Martha grade school and St. Vincent High School where she met the love of her life, beginning an 80 year love affair that continues today. Patti earned a bachelor degree in elementary education at St. Mary's College in South Bend, IN and returned to Akron to begin her teaching career. Her marriage to Mike took her to Naval Aviation bases in Pensacola, FL and Orange, CA in support of his role as a Marine Corps helicopter pilot. They returned home to Akron upon his discharge from the military. Patti was actively involved with Summa Health and served as President of the Women's Auxiliary Board of Akron City Hospital. Her happy places were on the tennis court, teaching kids to water ski at Lake Mohawk and enjoying the beach at her waterfront condo in Vero Beach, FL. Her grandchildren will remember her love of competitive game playing as well as the many "pie days" and "cookie days" enjoyed in her warm kitchen over the decades.

Patti was a founding member of St Hilary Parish in Fairlawn, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated there on Wednesday, October 22 at 11am. The family will receive well wishers on Tuesday, October 21 between 5-7pm at Hummel Funeral Home located at 2800 W. Market Street. The family extends our sincere thanks to the "angels" who accompanied Mom on her journey these past years. We will be forever grateful for your loving care and kindness.
