Nancy Fielder

Nancy D. Fielder 78 of Akron passed away February 15 2008 at Sumner on Ridgewood. She was born on December 29 1929 in Syracuse NY and was a resident of Akron for over 40 yrs. Nancy was a teacher in the Akron Public Schools until her retirement. Throughout her career she was an accomplished writer and journalist for many area publications. During her time in Akron Nancy became involved with a number of worthy charitable organizations especially enjoying her church St. Paul's Episcopal. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and George Dombo. She is survived by her 4 children Wendy Jill Steven and Peter Fielder; 6 grandchildren; and her sister Mrs. Jean Wolff. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday February 23 at 11 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 1361 W. Market St Akron. In lieu of remembrances donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity Summit County 1177 Rosemary Blvd Akron OH 44306.
