Michael Shawn Tittle, 60 years young, passed peacefully at his home in Wadsworth, Ohio on April 10th, 2025, with his loved ones by his side. He battled Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer, knowingly for 8 months prior, with the support of his loving wife, Darleen Tittle; children, Elizabeth Tittle, William (Maggie) Tittle, and Shawn (Ashley) Tittle; brother-in-law, Mark (Vicki) Weinsheimer, sisters-in-law, Debra (Larry) Darr and Doreen (Richard) Cahoon, as well as; stepsiblings, Amy Fernholz and Ben (Steph) Vorndran.
Michael was born on September 18th, 1964, in Akron, Ohio. He lived in Canal Fulton, Ohio until his high school years, when he moved to Wadsworth, Ohio. He graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1982, then went on to receive his Mechanical Engineering Degree from The University of Akron in 1989. With over 35 years in the industry, he was a leader, a superior colleague, a caring manager, and a highly regarded Professional Engineer. He spent his career at MK Ferguson (11 years), Babcock & Wilcox (18.5 years), and Lubrizol (6.5 years).
Sadly, at age 13 Michael lost his own father. William H. Tittle who was only 32 years old when he passed. When Michael turned 32 and was able to continue living his beautiful life, watching his children grow, he was ever so grateful. He looked at any years after age 32 as a bonus. He was such an amazing husband and father with so much love to give. His wife and children were his entire world. When the children were younger, and Michael wasn't working, you could find him volunteering at their elementary school (Franklin of Wadsworth City Schools) making donuts or volunteering at the Candlelight Walk in downtown Wadsworth; not to mention, supporting the kids' sport endeavors. Throughout the years his hobbies included hiking, spending time with the family, traveling, playing guitar, working in the yard, reading about the latest advancements in space technology, building computers, collecting KISS memorabilia, scanning old photos, listening to classic rock, and in more recent years he found a love for Broken Peach, a Spanish rock band from Vigo, Spain on YouTube. "Pero si tu / I Miss You" was one of Michael & Darleen's favorite songs (Spanish version).
If your heart has been touched by Michael and you would like to do something to honor him, make time to volunteer in your community or consider donating to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, https://www.cholangiocarcinoma.org/donate/It
Darleen, Elizabeth, William, Maggie, Shawn & Ashley would like to thank all of you for your cards, gifts, words of encouragement and prayers. It is Michael's wish not to have a funeral service; however, there will be a celebration of his life/open house later this summer. Michael loved his flower gardens, so it is only fitting to have an open house when they are in bloom.
"Forever Loved, Forever in Our Hearts Like the gentle glow of a fading sunset, your love lingers-warm, unwavering, eternal. It dances in the hush of the wind, whispering the echoes of your laughter, your light. Through memory's embrace, you remain-woven into the fabric of our souls, a beacon that guides, a love that never wanes. We are forever grateful for the gift of you." We Love & Miss You, Michael...
