Michael Moriarty

Michael P. Moriarty age 64 passed away on January 6 2014. He was born on June 28 1949 in Akron to the late Edward and Mary Moriarty. Mic was a 1967 graduate of Springfield High School and served our country in the US Army. Mic enjoyed a career as a radio personality broadcasting under the name Michael Kelly. He is survived by his siblings Edward (Faye) Moriarty Mary (Carmen) DeRose and Sally (Dave) Flask; cousin Richard Schorr; caregiver Dick and high school friend Gary Woods along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the American Red Cross transportation services and the DaVita Dialysis Center for their wonderful care of Mic. A memorial service will be 11:00 Thursday at the Hummel Funeral Home (500 E. Exchange St. Akron Ohio) followed by interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
