VIEW MEMORIAL PHOTO TRIBUTE Mauro Fisher passed away on January 6 2008 after a brief and peaceful stay at Hospice with his family by his side. The love that he gave to his children and grandchildren was a beautiful gift revealing the heart of gold which held more love than anyone could imagine. His love of cooking family and his entertaining personality will be missed by all who loved and knew him. His mind was filled with amazing things he shared with his children and grandchildren whom he adored and was so proud of. Mauro was born in Trenton New Jersey on May 11 1919. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific from 1943-1946. He was a graduate of Upsala College and attended Ohio State University Graduate School. He served as Executive Director of United Way in several locations and capacities for 25 years and finished his career as an entrepreneur before retiring in 1984. In addition to his wife Donna Fisher he is survived by three children: Margot (Dan) Reagan of South Bend Indiana; Mark (Jan) Fisher of Columbus Ohio; Mauro (Regina) Fisher of Chicago Illinois and ten beloved grandchildren. The body will be cremated and there will be a Private Mass at The Log Chapel on the University of Notre Dame Campus with a private burial to follow.
