Mary Shook

Mary Jane (Dettling) Shook 94 of Norton died July 6 2009 at Pleasant View Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; and sister Libby McBride. Mary Jane is survived by her children Charles D. (Barbara) Shook Beth Rockert and Robert Shook; grandchildren Tad Friess Katie Shook Emily Friess Kevin Shook Michael Shook Elizabeth Friess and Marianne Shook; great-grandchildren Elle Friess Ethan Kirby Jude Friess Naomi Shook Tanner Bill-Friess Lucy Shook Addison Shook and Emerson Pier; and sisters Helen Mundy and Bobbie Bader. She was employed by Dettling Bros. Florist until owning her own florist shop known as Townhouse Florist at Highland Square and retiring in 1992. Mary Jane was a graduate of St. Vincent High School. A Memorial Mass will be at 12:30 PM Thursday July 9 2009 at St. Vincent Catholic Church 164 W. Market St Akron. The family wishes to invite relatives and friends immediately following the Mass to Houston Hall 3069 Houston Rd Norton for a celebration of Mary Jane's life.
