Martin Vaughan

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Martin (Marty) Vaughan on November 7, 2025 at the age of 71. Marty was a life long resident of Akron, Ohio who attended Hoban High School and went on to work at Wonder Bread Bakery and later Summit Racing. Marty was an avid car enthusiast who spent considerable time building, restoring and fixing vehicles of all sorts. What Marty will be most remembered for though is his kindness and willingness to help anyone and everyone. His social circle was extensive and he will be missed by many.

Marty is proceeded in death by his wife Linda (nee Wykoff) and parents Margaret and Daniel Vaughan. Marty is survived by his brother Tim (Anne) Vaughan, niece Erin Vaughan and nephews Adam Vaughan and Mathew Wykoff.

A reception for family and friends will be held at Hummel Funeral Home, 2800 West Market Street, Fairlawn beginning at 10:00 with service beginning at 11:00. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park at 12:00.
