VIEW MEMORIAL PHOTO TRIBUTE Marjorie Anne Crowley 81 died of respiratory complications last Thursday. Marge was born Nov. 27 1925 the daughter of Paul Mark Burke Sr. and Mary Ley Burke. She lived in Akron all her life until six years ago when she moved to Mountain Brook Ala. to live with her daughter. She was a charter member of St. Sebastian Church and a 1943 graduate of St. Vincent High School. She graduated with honors from Ursuline College in 1947 and worked as a legal secretary for the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. for 12 years. She married Charles R. Crowley Sr. on Nov. 29 1958. He passed away in 1968. Marge was an avid golfer and enthusiastic member of leagues at Good Park and Valley View golf courses. She also loved to play bridge and continued to play weekly in Mountain Brook which is a suburb of BIrmingham. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Birmingham and of its ladies' altar sodality. She was a lifelong Indians fan and watched their games nightly with her grandson. She leaves her son Charles of Shaker Heights and his two sons Jack and Nat Crowley. She also leaves her daughter Mary Ellen Huesken (Rich) and their two children William and Ann all of Mountain Brook; two brothers Dr. Paul Burke (Dotty) of Peabody Mass. and Thomas Burke (Laurie) of San Antonio Texas and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday August 9 2007 10:00 AM at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull Ave. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron Wednesday August 8 2007 from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be sent to the St. Sebastian Parish Foundation 476 Mull Ave. Akron 44313.
