Marilyn Ann Skacevic

Marilyn A. Skacevic, age 91, passed away on April 1, 2026. She was born on November 11, 1934 in Akron to the late John and Frances Cahill. Marilyn graduated from St. Vincent High School and attended Kent State University for journalism. She worked for Goodrich before retiring to raise her family with her husband Joe.
Marilyn enjoyed her time volunteering at the Akron-Canton Foodbank. She loved spending summers at the cottage on Lake Huron with her family and friends and cheering on the Browns. She will be remembered for her great love and devotion to her family.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph; daughter, Patricia Duke and sister, Jane Kovacic; she is survived by her daughter, Carol (Rob) Cottrill; son-in-law, Andy Duke; and grandsons, Joe Duke and Sam Cottrill.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am Wednesday at St. Hilary Catholic Church (2750 W. Market St. Fairlawn), where family and friends may visit from 10-11am. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Akron-Canton Foodbank.
