Marian Huefner

September 27, 1926 — April 8, 2020

On Wednesday April 8th 2020, Marian Huefner passed away quietly at her home in Broadview Heights, Ohio. She was 93 years old. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Henry of 64 years, her brother Charles Huber Jr., and her parents Marie Betts (nee Whitney) and Charles Huber. Wonderful and loving mother to Dale Huefner (Deborah), Lorrie and Linda; dear and beloved "Grammy" to Lauren and Ellen. Mom lived a long and fulfilling life. While keeping a warm and busy home, she filled her life with art, music and travel. She looked forward to going to Blossom Music Center to hear the Cleveland Orchestra; always packing a "yummy" picnic to enjoy. She enjoyed going to Amish Country, acting as the tour guide when exploring that countryside with her friends or family. Her favorite birthday gift was a trip to the Yankee Peddler Art Festival where she would chat with the Indian Chief at the Pioneer Settlement. She was creative and artistic. As we look around our home, we see so many beautiful needlepoint projects that we'll now cherish. She traveled to many places that included many of our States, Mexico, Canada and Europe. Most memorable for her, was the trip to Alaska, that celebrated mom and "pop's" 50th wedding anniversary. Another highpoint in her travels, was the walking tour of the Cotswold's in England honoring her 70th birthday, with her daughter, Linda. She was known to spend many hours and miles enjoying the Brecksville and Hinkley Metro parks walking trails. Mom was a founding member (1949) past president and longtime member of the Brecksville Women's Club; a club founded to provide the community with a cultural, philanthropic and social outlet for the women in the area. We will remember mom's ever-present smile, the songs in her heart, her wit and humor as well as her positive attitude. We are proud and blessed to have had such a warm and loving mom. The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date.
