Lucie Bates 89 of Akron OH died January 5 2004 Altercare of Wadsworth. Lucie Bates was preceded in death by her husband Carl. She is survived by her sons John ( Bobbie)P. Watts Wadsworth OH Donald Bates Akron OH Edward Bates Norton OH. Lucie is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday January 9 2004 at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service . In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St Sebastian Parish Foundation.
