Lloyd Gordon Custer

Gordon Custer, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away suddenly on April 4, 2026.

He was born on November 4, 1960, in Cuyahoga Falls, where he spent his early years, graduated from high school, and met the love of his life. Gordon dedicated his entire career to the Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department, retiring in 2020. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.

Gordon shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Donna Custer, who preceded him in death in 2020. Their relationship began in their teenage years and grew into a lifelong partnership rooted in love, commitment, and family. Together, they created a home in Northampton that was filled with laughter, support, and strong values, a place that became a welcoming haven for family and friends alike. Their legacy lives on through their children and grandchildren.

Gordon is survived by his children, Cory Custer (Emily), Justin Custer (Tara), and Valerie Banks (Ian); his brother, Norm Custer; and his cherished grandchildren, Dawson, Stella, Everett, Lyla, Emrys, and Isla, who lovingly knew him as "Chicken Papa." He found great joy in being present in their lives, attending sporting events and practices, and sharing in special moments like archery lessons.

Gordon's steady presence, quiet strength, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life honoring both Gordon and his beloved wife, Donna, celebrating their lives, their enduring love, and the legacy they built together.
