Lawrence Coleman, 66, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2021 in Wadsworth, Ohio after suffering with several serious illnesses. He was born to Orville and Pearl Coleman on November 21, 1954 in Pikeville, Kentucky. He is survived by his siblings, Justine Kinney, Marlene (Wayne) Adkins, Rick (Barbara) Coleman, and Sally (George) Popa, and several children and grandchildren. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and eldest son.
In his younger years, Lawrence had a great love of music and could often be found playing his guitar or listening to rock bands from the 60's and 70's or various country music artists. He also enjoyed time in his parents' garage working or restoring cars. In the summer months, he loved to keep busy outside leaving many family members and friends with memories of him shirtless finishing yard work and being envious of his a deep tan. He was a troubled but gentle soul with a sense of humor and natural silliness. He carried a great love for his family and friends.
In his later years, Lawrence slowed down with illness, but still enjoyed listening to music and also found a love of many of the programs on the Sci-Fi channel. He was truly loved by his large family and few close friends and will be deeply missed.
Through God's love there will be no final farewells, so rest in peace our dear loved one knowing we will meet again soon in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Memorial services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Wadsworth, Ohio in June. Date and time will be announced.
