Laura Burton

January 8, 1964 — January 27, 2022

Laura Jean Walters Burton, 58, passed away on the morning of Thursday, January 27, 2022.

She is survived by her husband, John Burton Jr.; mother, Beverly Walters (Hall); and her children, Sean, Emily Krieger (Brian), Kenneth, and Laura Casey Rondini (Chris); siblings, Sherrie Sweet (Christopher), Richard Walters (Kate), and Jody Williams (Mike). Laura has many beautiful grandchildren that she loved dearly, Jonathan, Hannabelle, Margo, and Shelby.

She was born January 8, 1964, Laura was always a fan of The Beatles, any kind of sewing project, and taking photos of nature, her pets, and her family. When she wasn't with her family, she could be found at the library researching historical figures, one of her greatest passions.

Laura was very creative and never found a cross-stitch or crotchet pattern that she couldn't tackle with ease. She was always knitting blankets and creating stuffed animals for her friends and loved ones, never at any charge, she just wanted everyone to be warm and happy.

A lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, we're sure that she's rooting for them this year from Heaven. Laura was a lifelong Christian and close friend of Jesus, so we know she's watching over us from up high with God and, her earthly father, Richard.

There will be no showing or funeral services, as Laura was never a fan of sad affairs, so instead a celebration of life will be held for close family members only at her favorite local park in the spring.

There will, however, be a remembrance open-house for her friends and extended family on Sunday, January 30 2022, at 664 Garnette Rd., Akron OH 44313 from 1 pm - 4 pm.

Paul McCartney's "End of the End" song inspired her to ask everyone to remember her fondly, with happy memories and fun stories being told:

"On the day that I die I'd like jokes to be told

And stories of old to be rolled out like carpets

That children have played on

And laid on while listening to stories of old"

We will honor her by remembering her how she wanted, by sharing laughter and love. If you feel so inclined, Laura would love for donations to be made to The Portage Animal Protective League, 8122 Infirmary Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266.
