Kenneth E. Strabley

February 19, 1950 — March 2, 2026

Kenneth Edmond Strabley, 76, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 2, 2026, at the home of his son Kurt and daughter-in-law Marcie, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born and raised in Akron on February 19, 1950, Ken lived his entire life in the community he cherished. He served proudly in the Ohio National Guard for 10 years, began his working years at Firestone Rubber, and later graduated from Southern Ohio College. He completed his career as a dedicated Computer/IT Administrator for the City of Barberton, where his technical expertise and steady reliability made a lasting impact.

Ken was remembered for his infectious great smile and his deep love of laughter-he had an effortless way of brightening any moment and putting people at ease. A lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, he cheered them on through every season with unwavering loyalty. He adored dogs, especially his beloved Boomer, always ready with a pat, a treat, or a walk. And he took great pride in tending his yard, keeping the lawn green and neat, creating a peaceful spot where he could relax and enjoy the simple things in life.

He is survived by his devoted son Kurt and wife Marcie, along with their children-sons Cyric and David, and daughter Autumn. He is also survived by his son Chris and wife Rana, and their son Bowan. Ken held a special place in his heart for his cousin Diane and her husband Dan, who was always like a sister to him. He also leaves behind his faithful dog Boomer, who will continue to be loved and cared for by Kurt and Marcie. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Ernest Strabley.
