Kay Basile

Kay Basile, age 52 passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2025 after a short illness surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia and uncle Dominic. She is survived by her devoted husband, George; her beloved daughter and best friend, Trish (Kody), her father, Robin; stepsons, Stephen and Christopher, aunt and godmother, Nora; sister, Stephanie and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.

Kay lit up any room she entered, with her bright brown eyes, radiant smile and warm presence. A 1992 graduate of North High School, she spent over 20 years as a valued employee of NSK Industries, where she was deeply admired. A lifelong lover of animals, Kay adopted 5 beloved dogs over the years. She was passionate about travel and took many trips to Europe, Central America and all corners of the United States. She loved to shop and stayed ahead of the latest trends and was a big fan of Lebron James.

She found great joy in cooking, serving up big delicious Italian meals to friends and family. Her spaghetti along with a big glass of red wine was always a favorite.

She also loved music and dancing and her zest for life was felt by everyone who knew her.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal funeral or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to One Of A Kind Pets or Summit County Humane Society. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Kay's Memory. Kay will be remembered for her warmth, humor and love of a good time-whether sharing a martini and a laugh, lighting up a cigarette on the patio, or being the life of any party. With her keen intellect and quick wit, she was always ready with a comeback that left everyone in stitches. She lived life to the fullest and brought joy to everyone around her.
