John Sarvis

John David Sarvis, 59, surrounded by family and the Lord God Jesus, passed on peacefully, March 17 2021. Born to Chris (deceased) and Helen Sarvis, he was a lifelong resident of Akron, a town he truly loved.

John was a 1980 Graduate of Hoban High School, where he excelled in soccer and wrestling. After earning a degree from the University of Akron, founded J David Sarvis Men's Clothiers and in 2001 became owner of Bernadette's Dry Cleaners.

John leaves behind his loving wife, Mayette; beloved son, Anthony, who has been the light of his life; brothers, Tom Sarvis and Dan Sarvis wife Barb; sister, Anne Silliman husband Jay; nephews, Andrew Sarvis (Dan) Matthew Maggie & John Michael Silliman; with countless relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St. Fairlawn. Friends and family may call at church before the funeral mass from 10 to 10:45 AM on Wednesday.
