John McDowell

John 'Mac' McDowell 82 of Norton died March 26 2008. He was born in Lodi on May 1 1925. Mac is survived by brother Alan; sister Nancy Masters; children John (Dianna) McDowell Judy Lipscomb and Susan McDowell and grandchildren Andrea Ruth Rose and Erica. Mac was a graduate of Northfield High School and College of Wooster served in the Navy during WWII as member of VPB 116 in the PB4Y 'Easy Maid'. He retired from Manchester High School after 36 years as teacher and coach. Mac enjoyed many years of retirement and travel. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron on Saturday April 5 2008 from 1 to 3 p.m.
