John Matuska

John Joe Matuska 83 passed away due to Parkinson's disease at St. Luke Lutheran Community on December 19 2007. He was preceed in death by his parents Steve and Mary Matuska (Shutway); brothers Steve and Frank; and son Stephen. John is survived by his wife of 59 years Josephine (Kowalski); daughter Patricia (Mark) Hearns; sons David (Belinda) Matuska Francis John Matuska and Kevin (Christy) Matuska; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. John was an Army veteran in World War II where he received 4 Battle Stars. He retired from Goodyear Tire Co. after 37 yrs. of service. John was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church where he was an usher for over 30 yrs. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday December 22 2007 11:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church 87 Broad St. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Friday December 21 from 4-7 PM. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
