VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Jobbie DiRocco 84 of Akron died December 20 2005. Jobbie was born on December 11 1921 in Clairton PA. Jobbie was preceded in death by his parents Joseph & Sabbia DiRocco and his wife Georgia. He is survived by his son David (Alex) DiRocco of Williston FL; daughter Rebecca DiRocco of Akron and sister Lena (Ted) Werner; 5 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. In WWII he served his country three times. In 1954 he moved his family to Copley. While living in Copley he served as the second Police Constable from 1957 until 1960 and also was a member of the Zoning Board and a Trustee for the Township. He founded and owned Copley Sand Blast Co. and Rocson Die Cutting Co. Then he merged both businesses to form Rocson Inc. then founded and owned Roco-Canada. Jobbie patented eight different products relating to the tire repair business which are still being used today. Jobbie was a 60-year member and past Commander of the American Legion Post 473. The family would like to thank both the staff of Arden Courts of Bath and Toni Gregory for their care and support. Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 23 at 10:00 AM at the Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Road. Interment in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.
