JoAnn Schultz

JoAnn M. Schultz, age 67, passed away February 7, 2024. She was born on November 25, 1956 in Barberton to the late Marion and Catherine Schultz. JoAnn was a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms High School and Akron General School of Nursing. She retired from Akron General Hospital, where she served as an esteemed member of the nursing surgical heart team. JoAnn loved the beach and photography and most importantly her nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her sister, Carol Peddle; brother, Richard Schultz; niece, Catherine Paparella; and great nephew, Ethan Liming; JoAnn is survived by her siblings, Dolores (John) Paparella, Marilyn (Dave) Lang, Barbara (Charlie) Shook, Don (Beth) Schultz and Cathy (Doug) Calvert; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Monday, February 12 at Immaculate Conception, 2101 17th St. SW Akron, Ohio 44314. Internment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
