Jerry Montgomery

VIEW MEMORIAL PHOTO TRIBUTE Jerry F. Montgomery 83 of Akron passed away on March 22 2008 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Akron on July 19 to George and Catherine Montgomery. Jerry was a graduate of St. Vincent High School Akron University and the Akron School of Law. He was a member of the Akron Bar Association the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers and Scanlon Inn of Court. Jerry was grateful to be an active member of A.A. for 35 yrs. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII in the South Pacific. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gladys; brothers Gene and Alan; and his sister June. He is survived by his children Mark (Valerie) Kelly (Dan) Hoy Greg (Natalie) and Lynda (Russell) McAlonie; and grandchildren Matthew Dan Elizabeth Rachel Gracie Jeremy and Tyler. Calling hours will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday March 25 at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St Akron. Memorial Service immediately following at 7 PM. Veteran Services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Wednesday March 26 at 10:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the Parmadale Boys School 6753 State Rd Parma OH 44134.
