Jean A. Dascenzo

Jean A. Dascenzo, age 88, passed away on May 2, 2026. She was born on August 20, 1937 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania to the late Albert and Olive Pettit. After high school, Jean moved to Cleveland, Ohio, married Anthony Dascenzo in 1960 and raised a family. She retired from Alltel as a data entry operator. Jean was an avid volunteer: Streetsboro United Methodist Church (choir, food pantry, treasurer, women's group), This is Us Support Group and AARP Taxes. She was instrumental in starting the Stain Glass Windows at the church as well.

Preceded in death by her husband Anthony; brother, Gerald Pettit; she is survived by her son, Anthony (Donna) Dascenzo; daughter, Donna (Darrel) Gros; grandchildren, Lisa Dascenzo, Amanda (Jeremy) Moldvay, Matthew Dascenzo, Zachary (Olivia) Gros and Brandon (Kristen) Gros; great grandchildren, Xander, Nora, Ella, and Kensington, her cat, CC (cupcake) and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 4-7pm, Monday, May 11 at the Streetsboro United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be 1:30pm Tuesday, May 12 at the church. Private interment will take place. Memorial donations may be made to the Streetsboro United Methodist Church or the Streetsboro United Methodist Church Pantry.
