James Verderico

James Verderico age 64 of Uniontown passed away Monday May 28 2012. Jim was an amazing person father and Papa. He was a wonderful husband and best friend to JoAnna for 42 years. Jim was very proud of his children and grandchildren whom he enjoyed making laugh smile and creating memories with. Jim was always personable with a smile on his face and ready to tell a memorable story. He was known for planning a good party his passion for slot machines slushies and artichokes. Jim's generous loyal sincere and committed demeanor will be truly missed by his family and many many friends. With drive and determination Jim built his own successful accounting practice from the basement of his very own home. He very much enjoyed being an accountant and trusted advisor to many clients. He also had a great love of sports and enjoyed attending games whether it was a professional league or little league. Jim is survived by his wife JoAnna daughters Anita (Jim) Parry Connie (Mike) Kurko son Vincent (Cary); grandchildren Andrew Carter Katherine Cecelia Michael Chase and Elianna. He also leaves behind his mother Mary; siblings Joe Pat Nick Paul Mary Jane Tom and many other friends including special friend Max Sabatina. He is preceded in death by his father Nicholas and sister Joanne. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday June 2 2012 at 9:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic of Padua Catholic Church 83 Mosser Place Akron 44310. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery to follow. Friends may call the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron on Friday June 1 2012 from 3-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the University of Akron Mary C. Verderico Scholarship Fund or St. Anthony Church.
