James Patrick Corrigall

James Patrick Corrigall "Big Country", 80, made it to the big football field in Heaven surrounded by family on July 15, 2026.

Jim was born on May 7, 1946, in Barrie, Ontario to parents Patrick and Irene Corrigall. Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years; Marybeth, son; Jim (Catherine), and daughter; Amy (Erik), grandchildren; Madeline, Zachary, Raygan, Jack, and Kathleen, great grandson; Sal, siblings; Dan and Carol and several family members across Canada and the U.S. A special thank you to his caregiver Michelle.

Jim, a true Canadian, played and coached college and professional football in Canada and the U.S. He loved football, faith, and his family, living by the mantra, "It's always 4th and 1."

Mass will be held at St. Sebastian Catholic Church located at 476 Mull Ave. Akron, OH 44320 Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00am. For those who would like to raise a glass in his honor can join family and friends for a "post game" celebration at Rockne's on Merriman Rd. at 3:00pm.
