Irvin Hadley

Irvin Hadley 93 of Akron passed away on Tuesday February 26 2013. Irv bought his own grocery store 'Hadley's Food Market ' in 1954 which he operated for many years. He enjoyed cooking for his family playing bingo and cards with family and friends (when he wasn't working at bingo). Irv was also an avid golfer and sports fan. He loved to watch the Cleveland Cavs especially when LeBron James played. Most especially Irv loved his family and spending time with them. He is survived by his loving wife Josephine of 72 years; children Jim (Jill) Hadley Patti Staeger Tom (Paula) Hadley; grandchildren Suzy (Bill) Tara (Jay) Kelly (Aaron) Andi (Nick) Danielle Sean Shannon (Jared) T.J. and Kevin (Becca); great grandchildren Molly Billy Kennedy Jackson Caroline Ryan Adriana and Brody; sister Binnie Horn many nieces and nephews. Irv is preceded in death by siblings Jim Wilbur and Gertie. Visitation will be held on Friday March 1 2013 4-7 PM at the Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd. Copley. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday March 2 2013 10:30 AM at Our Lady of The Cedars Catholic Church 507 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Fairlawn 44333. Inurnment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of The Cedars Church or to Summa Palliative Care and Hospice Services 525 E. Market St. Akron 44304.
