Harvey Blake

Harvey L. Blake, 90 of Akron, passed away Thursday, July 9th, 2015. Born September 8, 1924 in Braxton County, WV. He was a WWII veteran in the Army 9th Infantry and retired from General Tire. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents Hobert and Bulah Blake; brothers Henry and Harry; sisters Mary and Martha and great grandson Lewis G. Ward. He is survived by his wife Garnett Verdeal (May) Blake; sons Charles (Carolyn) and Glenn (Cathy); brothers Earl (Cindy) and Carl (Esther) Blake; sisters Ulah (Zane) Frame and Marjorie (Rondal) Bleigh; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY, 3475 Copley Rd. where a Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday with Pastor Russ Heiser officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
