Gertrude Ziemann

Gertrude C. Ziemann age 98 of Caldwell formerly of Akron died Monday morning (02/26/2007) at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born June 27 1908 in Dietzhausen Germany a daughter of the late Adolph and Elsie Karstedt Goebel. As a young woman she had worked as a housekeeper and cook and later at the former Rudy's Bakery on S. Main St. in Akron. She retired from McKesson & Robbins Co. in Akron. Mrs. Ziemann was a member of the German American Club and the Liedertafel Singing Society in Akron. Surviving is one son Werner (Becky) Ziemann of Caldwell; three grandchildren Laura (Wesley) Caldwell of Canton Cheryl Ziemann of Canton and Eric Hammonds of FL and one great grandson Cameron Caldwell of Canton. Memorial Service will be held Saturday March 3 2007 at 12 Noon at Hummel Funeral Home 500 East Exchange Street in Akron. Inurnment at Glendale Cemetery at a later date. Gertrude requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association.
