George William Cavnar 87 of Akron passed away November 11 2010 in Copley. He was born on September 16 1923 in Coolidge TX. George was preceded in death by his parents; his son Mark W. Cavnar; and 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children Dale (Robert) Panovich Kim (Craig Lewandowski) Cavnar Curt (Sue) Cavnar Eric Cavnar; former wife Terry; eleven grandchildren; Bryan Panovich; Brad Panovich Jason Panovich; Noel Cavnar-Lewandowski Zoe Cavnar-Lewandowski Jean Luc Cavnar-Lewandowski; Jennifer Cavnar; Jessica Cavnar; Danielle Cavnar Kirsten Cavnar; Kaylee Cavnar; five great grandchildren; Connor Panovich; Brennon Panovich; Kyler Panovich; Zackery William Cavnar; Elijah Cavnar-Rodriquez; brother Leroy; sisters Alyne and Nannie Bea; and many nieces and nephews. PFC George William Cavnar of the 517th Parachute Regimental Combat Team was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during WW II where he bravely served as a paratrooper during the D-Day invasion. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday Nov. 16th at 11:30 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 1676 S. Cleveland Massillon Road Copley Ohio 44321.
