Gail Lindus

June 26, 1947 — February 8, 2020

Gail Diane Lindus June 26, 1947-February 8, 2020 "When good Americans die, they go to Paris." –Oscar Wilde Gail's world was one big circle of friends, loved ones and colleagues, all of whom gathered (by way of social media, emails, texts, phone calls and visits) around her and her husband of 46 years, George Hubscher "Bud" Erwin, as they "fought" and finally lost her "battle" with an aggressive cancer. A born communicator, Gail collected and connected people all of her life, working as an administrator, event planner and media executive in Ohio, Florida and California. She and George moved back to their hometown of Bath, Ohio in 2001, where they focused on their combined creativity and developed a line of handmade jewelry which sold in local galleries and shops. Reflected in her art was her love of all things Parisian, and she vowed to go back one day. Gail was devoted to her and George's Revere High School (Richfield) Class of 1965 and was an inspired planner of Get-Togethers and Reunions and in keeping classmates abreast of each other's news. Gail's father, Milden A. Lindus, was a WWII Hero and the recipient of three Purple Hearts and died in 1992. Her mother, Marilyn Alice Penrose Lindus, died in 1952. Gail is survived by her husband George Hubscher Erwin; their son, Steve Thomas Stekle, his wife, Alishia Nicole Stekle and her daughter Zoey Nicole Parsons; Steve's daughter, Taylor Marie Morales and her daughter, Lenore Isabelle Morales; Steve's son, Brandon James Stekle and his wife, Danielle and their daughter, Helen Amelia. Gail was very proud of her family and particularly delighted to be a great grandmother to a big brood. No services are planned at the moment. Please celebrate Gail's love of life in all you do. Raise a glass of Veuve Clicquot, nibble lobster with melted butter. She'll be there. Her husband, George's words say it for all of us: "Gail was a blessing in my life and I will miss her every day, forever."
