VIEW MEMORIAL PHOTO TRIBUTE Frank Salamon 90 of Akron died December 31 2007 at Akron General Medical Center after complications from pneumonia. Frank was born on November 29 1917 in Akron OH. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 38 years and was a member of URW Local 2. Frank was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 59 years and was acquainted with many early members in the movement. He spoke to many groups throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania and co-founded the Kenmore AA Group in 1952. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Frances nee Geier Salamon and brothers Edward and William. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Bernice nee Barclay; children Herb Salamon of Ashland OH Sandy Salamon (Paul Chacho Jr.) of Placitas NM. and Michael (Judy Blackburn) Salamon of Cuyahoga Falls OH; sisters Rosalie Mills of Akron and Frances Goedde (Harrie) of Ranchos Palos Verde CA; Grandchildren Kathleen Salamon of Albuquerque NM and Frank Salamon of Tallmadge OH; sisters-in-law Patty (Lowell) Hoffman of Fort Myers FL and Charlotte Salamon of Cuyahoga Falls OH and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. on Sunday from 3-5PM. Cremation to follow calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Monday January 7 2008 at 10 AM at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Private family inurnment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
