Erieanna Hornbein

Erieanna Cotton Hornbein passed away October 30 2006 after a long illness. She died in peace. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Gerald Hornbein. Erieanna was born May 3 1912 in Sharon Hill PA the fourth child of Ralph and Mary Cotton and spent her youth in Colorado California and Texas. Erieanna and Gerry met and were married in Denver but spent most of their adult lives in Akron. She was an active member of the community giving her time and talents to The Weathervane Theater The Akron Art Institute The League of Women Voters Stan Hywet and the P.T.A. They moved to Texas and then California in the 70's but returned to Akron in 1988. Erieanna is survived by her three children: George (Lorna Rasmussen) Hornbein Beth (Kurt) Brissing and Ruth (Steven Barrada) Hornbein; five grandchildren: Geoffrey (Melissa) Smith Andrew Smith Theodore (Gillian) Hornbein Beth Hornbein (Lee) Perry and Drew Hornbein; four great-grandchildren: Riley McKenna Callahan and Sullivan Smith. She was beloved by all. A memorial service for the family will be held in Boulder Colorado at the Cotton family plot. The family suggests memorials to be given to your favorite charity or to Hospice of Harbor Light 734 C Alpha Dr. Highland Hgts. OH 44143 which provided such good care for her at the end.
