Ellie Fluty

Ellie Catherine Fluty, age 54, passed away on November 29, 2022. She was born on March 12, 1968 in Beckley, WV to Roy and Lois Severt. Cathy graduated from Shady Spring High School in 1986 where she enjoyed being part of the marching band and riding around in her brothers cars. She then graduated from Concord College with a degree in social work. Cathy then married the love of her life, Craig, and moved to Columbus where they had their son Patrick. After Patrick graduated from high school in 2012 they moved to Copley until present.

Cathy was passionate about serving others through her involvement with her church. She participated in mission trips to New Orleans that involved taking Christmas gifts and backpacks to those in need. She loved volunteering for RAHAB Ministries where she served women in need.

One of her favorite hobbies was spending time with her dear friends, including the fab five, crafting and taking many trips together. She loved her friends and they were more like family and her beloved dog Olive May.

Preceded in death by her dad, Roy Severt; step-dad, Gene Crawford, and her dear friend, Claudia Baustian; Cathy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Craig; son, Patrick (Grace); mom, Lois Severt-Crawford; brothers Roy (Sherri) Severt and David (Michele) Severt, step-brother, Carlos (Mindy) Crawford; step-sister, Debbie Goins and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the angels at DaVita Dialysis Center for their loving care.

Memorial service will be 12:00pm Saturday December 3 at Grace Church Medina East Campus, 2325 Medina Rd. Medina, where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to RAHAB Ministries 901 Tuscarawas St. East Canton, Ohio 44707 and Samaritan's Purse, www.samaritanspurse.org.
