Eileen Jane Lambert

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eileen Jane Lambert, of Akron, Ohio May 1, 2026.

Eileen found happiness by the water, whether walking along the shoreline, listening to the waves, or simply soaking in the peace of the beach. Travel was another passion, and embraced every opportunity to explore new places, cultures, and experiences, always returning home with stories to tell.

In 1982, she married the love of her life, Thomas Lambert, beginning a partnership filled with devotion, laughter, and shared adventures that spanned decades.

An avid reader, Eileen could often be found with a book in hand or riding in her restored 1963 convertible Corvette. She also loved cheering on the Cleveland Guardians (Indians), faithfully following them through every season.

Above all, Eileen will be remembered for her, kind heart, and deep love for family and friends.

She is preceded in death by Parents; Edward Lee Thomas and Kathleen Fassnacht, brother; Mark Fassnacht, sister; Susanne Campbell, brothers-in-law Jack Robinson and David Lambert, sisters-in-law; Patricia Lambert and Connie Bates, mother-in-law; Georgene Rae (Thomas) (Lambert) Whited, and father-in-law; Jerome Robert Whited.

She is survived by her Husband; Thomas Lambert, son; George Lambert, sisters; Maureen (Christopher) Costello, Margaret (David) Hiney, sister-in-law, Stacey Lambert, her brother-in-law Patrick Campbell and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A small private service will be held at a later date.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
