Earl Bahm

Earl M. Bahm 83 passed away September 25 2006 after a long illness at St. Luke Lutheran Community in N. Canton. Earl was born in Akron OH on October 26 1922. He was the son of Max and Selma Bahm (nee Newbauer). He was a life long resident of Akron until his illness in 1986 when he became a resident of St. Luke Lutheran Community. Earl was a life member of Grace Lutheran Church in Akron and most recently a member of Fairlawn Lutheran Church. With all his disabilities Earl was always willing to help at St. Lukes. He dearly loved small children animals and all of God's creatures. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Alice Oliver and Edith Sandmann. He will be sadly missed by sister Viola Bahm and dear cousin Gail Newbaur (who was so good at keeping him happy and caring for his needs). He is also survived by nephews Harold (Charlene) Sandmann Walter (Mary Ann) Sandmann and niece Minna Garmen; cousins and many great nieces and great nephews. The family wishes to sincerely thank all of the staff at St. Luke Lutheran Community especially the nursing staff on Twin Hills for their tender loving care of Earl over the many years in which he was a resident there. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Road COPLEY on Wednesday September 27 2006 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday September 28 11 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Fairlawn Lutheran Church 3415 W. Market St. Akron with Pastor Charles D. Lentner officiating. Interment will be at the Glendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Foundation 200 Applegrove St. N.E. N. Canton OH 44720.
