Dorothy DelMatto

Dorothy DelMatto passed away October 29 2007 at the age of 85. Born in Scranton PA. to Joseph and Josephine Garramone Dorothy came to Akron to live in North Hill as a homemaker in 1945 where she raised 4 children. She was a proud member of AA for 36 years and secretary of the Akron Arid Club. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Angela Cargill. She leaves behind her daughter Leanore Parasson of Akron; son Nick DelMatto of Logan Ohio and daughter Jeanette (Rich) Broda of Silver Lake. Dorothy also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren whom she adored. At Dorothy's request there will be no calling hours. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday November 1 2007 at Mt. Peace Cemetery 183 Aqueduct St Akron 44303. The family would like to thank the staff at Akron General Medical Center ICU Summa Hospital Bath Manor and the wonderful staff at Hospice Care Center for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to Hospice Care Center 3340 Ridgewood Road Akron OH 44333.
